The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) of Centre for Industrial Research and Development (CIRD), Chennai is a program designed to bring out the best in people from various academic backgrounds with varied level of experience. The Program is designed to facilitate the development of operationally meaningful concepts and techniques in Management. The functional specializations are Marketing, Finance, Operations, Systems and Human Resource, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

Bharathidasan University established in February 1982, and was named after the great revolutionary Tamil Poet, Bharathidasan (1891-1964) by the government of Tamil Nadu. The motto of the University "We will create a brave new world" has been framed from Bharathidasan's poetic words "புதியதோர் உலகம் செய்வோம்".
